Shemagh
The keffiyeh or kufiya referred to in Arabic as a ghutrah (غُترَة), shemagh (شُمَاغ šumāġ), ḥaṭṭah (حَطَّة), and in Persian as a chafiyeh (چفیه), is a customary Arabian hood. It is designed from a square scarf and is generally made of cotton. The keffiyeh is regularly found in parched districts, as it gives security from a sun-related burn, residue, and sand. An agal is regularly used to keep it set up.
